How My Technical Mindset Works to Your Advantage
My technical background shaped the way I work, and more importantly, the way I troubleshoot problems.
Before moving into automotive air conditioning, I spent more than 20 years in demanding technical environments in the energy industry. I handled complex equipment, thermodynamics-focused pressure and temperature measurement, and customer-facing technical support. That built a strong culture of systematic problem-solving and a know-how approach. So when I recommend an air conditioning repair, I want to explain exactly why it's worth your money.
That means understanding how the system should operate, measuring what it's actually doing, and gathering enough evidence to support the recommendation before I ask you to approve the repair.
In automotive A/C systems, a single symptom can have several possible causes. That's why I don't condemn an expensive component just because it looks like the most likely fault.
I use several different diagnostic methods to investigate and cross-check what the system is telling me. The goal isn't to run every test available. It's to use the right tests to build confidence in the diagnosis.
That matters because when I recommend a compressor, evaporator, hose, or another major repair, I'm asking you to trust my technical judgement, and spend your money based on it.

Who Shows Up
Meet Mack

Mack Levant
Owner / Automotive Air Conditioning Technician
Mack Levant is the owner and technician behind Mack’s Cool Aircon. He holds an ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence for automotive air conditioning and a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
Before moving into automotive air conditioning, Mack gained 20 years of experience working in industrial and mechanical environments, including global oil and gas operations. Approximately three of those years involved highly technical work in thermodynamics.
That experience developed his understanding of mechanical systems, the relationship between temperature and pressure within the refrigeration cycle, and the importance of investigating faults using tangible evidence rather than assumptions. That is why every job starts with proper testing, not guesswork.
